Statement
The Association for Human Rights Respect, ALRDH, not having received any applications meeting the award criteria, regrets to announce to the public the non-award of the ALRDH 2021 prize. Received applications showed no rigor and did not provide evidence demonstrating the existence of the organizations and activities. In addition, research carried out in the field revealed that information indicated in certain applications were false. The purpose of the ALRDH prize is to reward the effective commitment of people as well as organizations for human rights and the applications received do not sufficiently demonstrate the commitment of the applicants. It was decided to postpone the award of the prize next year. The association encourages this year’s applicants to rework their proposal, to continue fighting for human rights throughout 2022, and to apply more rigorously again next year. The announcement of the 2022 award will be made on the ALRDH website in June 2022 to allow sufficient time for interested applicants to prepare.
